About me

I’m Jessie, and I’ve been helping organisations to hear and people to be heard since 1998.

I've spent almost 30 years working in and around health and care - as a leader, an adviser, a facilitator and, at times, leading organisations and teams under considerable pressure. What drives me is the knowledge that things just work better when people are heard.

Creating the conditions where every voice actually matters - where frontline staff, patients, communities and senior leaders can all be part of finding solutions - takes real skill, experience and care. That's what I bring to every piece of work I do.

My approach

I always start and end with people - that shapes everything. It affects how I design an engagement process, how I run a Board away day, and how I work with a leader who's trying to find their way through something difficult.

The people I work with are usually navigating something really hard. Sometimes that’s politically sensitive change, strategies that need to function across a complex system, or programmes that need to reach communities who don't usually engage with health services.

I'm equally comfortable facilitating a room of 200 people from seldom-heard communities and designing the process that makes that room work, or sitting alongside a single leader as a thinking partner while they work out what to do next.
